Hiclone is a very simple device that will save you money on fuel, it's installed into the air induction pipe between the air filter and the engine. Hiclone has a series of fins, as the air is being sucked or forced through these fins it make the air spin, the device doesn't move, it makes the air move.
This is how Hiclone works.
By spinning the air you get a better mixture between the air and fuel, this better mixture increases the fuel burn in the combustion chamber giving you more power from the fuel hence more torque, so you don't have to put your foot down so much, giving you much better fuel efficiency.
Diesel/Tdi: Installing Hiclone just before the inlet manifold will give you between 5-15% increase in power & 10-20% better fuel economy, placing a 2nd just after the inter-cooler will give you 30-50% more than 1x unit, installing one at the filter end of the hose will assist the turbo and bring it on up to 600 rpm earlier this also helps your fuel economy.
Petrol/EFI: Installing a Hiclone 5-30cm back from the throttle body will give you 5-15% increase in power and between 10-20% better fuel economy, a second unit will give you 30-50% more than one Hiclone.
Diesel: Placing Hiclone into the inlet or the pipe just before it, you'll get 5-15% increase in power & between 10-20% better fuel economy, placing a 2nd unit at the air filter end will give you 30-50% more than one unit.

Getting more power from the fuel is what Hiclone is all about, if you get more power you get better fuel economy as you don't have to put your foot down so hard hence better economy.
Let's say you need 3000 RPM to sit on 100Km. if you get more power/torque then sitting on 100Km. may only need 2700 RPM, this is saving you money, as you don't push your foot down as much.
Hiclone better burn effects will also, de-coke the motor, as the mileage builds up and so do the carbon deposits in the engine, these deposits rob you of power so slowly but surely you have to put your foot down a little more to get the power to get up that hill.
Cleaning out the deposits it will bring back a lot of the lost power, so again less use of your right foot, as an added bonus of the better burn you'll find your oil stays cleaner for longer and there's also less pollution because of the better burn.
